The Dance That Changed Everything
Elizabeth Bennet lives with her family in the English countryside.
Her mother hopes that her daughters will marry rich men.
A kind, wealthy man named Mr. Bingley moves to a nearby home.
He likes Elizabeth’s sister Jane, and Jane likes him too.
Mr. Darcy is Bingley’s rich friend.
At a dance, Darcy seems proud and does not ask Elizabeth to dance.
Elizabeth feels angry and thinks badly of him.
A charming soldier named Mr. Wickham tells Elizabeth that Darcy treated him unfairly.
Later, Darcy asks Elizabeth to marry him.
He speaks rudely about her family, so she says no.
Darcy gives Elizabeth a letter about his actions and Wickham’s lies.
Elizabeth reads the letter and begins to understand Darcy better.
She also learns that Darcy helped her family when her sister Lydia ran away with Wickham.
Darcy and Elizabeth meet again, and she sees that he has changed.
They fall in love and marry, while Jane and Bingley marry too.
