Why My First Day Back at School Was a Total Disaster!
The first day of term always feels a bit overwhelming for students like Leo.
He started his morning in the common room, chatting with friends about their summer holidays.
Everyone was looking at the new syllabus for the upcoming term to see what they would be learning.
Leo realised he had social studies first period, which was a subject he actually enjoyed.
However, he knew he might be bad at the advanced economics module because he often struggled with complex maths.
His friend Sarah, on the other hand, had a good head for figures and offered to help him with his revision.
After the bell rang, Leo went to his assigned desk and tried to focus on the teacher's introduction.
During the lecture, the teacher asked a question about a famous historical explorer.
Leo felt the answer was on the tip of his tongue, but he simply could not remember the name.
He looked at the complicated diagram on the board and realised he had no clue what it represented.
After the morning lessons ended, it was finally time for physical education.
He hurried to the locker room to change into his trainers as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately, he opened his sports bag only to find that he had forgotten his PE kit at home.
He had to explain the situation to the coach, who luckily decided not to give him a detention.
Despite these early hiccups, Leo felt that this school year was going to be an interesting journey.
