He chose a new religion for his people.
This event started the nation of Poland.
Mieszko built small towns and castles.
He made the Polish army very strong.
His son became the first king of Poland.
The new king wore a beautiful gold crown.
The country grew big and rich over time.
Today, Poland has a very long and proud history.
